The TSS Skills Assessment is an assessment pathway for applicants applying for a Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa. The assessment is conducted by relevant skills assessing authorities and determines if the applicant has the required skills, experience and qualifications to work in Australia at the trade level for their nominated occupation.

The assessment is issued by an authorised organisation which checks the applicant’s qualifications and experience against the requirements of the relevant training package qualification.

If you are applying for a Temporary Skills Shortage (TSS) visa (subclass 482), you will need to provide evidence of a successful skills assessment. Depending on the occupation, and the country you are coming from, an approved skills assessment may be required before lodging a visa application.
